Per session

First introduction session is free come and join in and see if it is for your child.Then once you decided it is right for your child it is £2.00 per session

Why so reasonable this is a not-for-profit community club Nobody is making a living out of this

All the money goes to renting the dojo's insurance for all the instructors free competitions free black and brown courses And all the courses that the instructors need to attend

The ssklj will never be a rich club but Shotokan is all the richer for clubs like the ssklj.

When you visit the dialstone club please don't think we are closed this is a temporary venue until the new dialstone centre is open

The Little Jag's Class caters for the community and the needs of junior members the class combines discipline of karate and also a fun element each session is run by three senior instructors with the assistance of our younger Dan grades. To encourage the children to progress and gain confidence

We hold regular grading's Courses and competition's which in turn gives the children confidence both in karate and every day life

Little Jags Class Saturday Dialstone 4.00 till 5.00pm

Parents may stay and watch their children training if they wish and also watch them doing their grading's

Parents are welcome at competitions The competitions and courses are free of charge to all S.S.K students.

Every Student will have a grading syllabus book Welcoming then to the club

Beginners Section 9th kyu to 7th kyu

Intermediate Section 6th kyu to 4th kyu

Advanced Section 3rd kyu to 1st kyu.

A separate syllabus for Dan grades will be issued on the passing of 1st kyu.

Demonstrations for 2019

The 2019 Demo Squad will be selected in the next couple of weeks during the training. If you would like to be considered for this squad see Sensei Moore for more details

Please be aware that Shotokan Karate is a demanding physical sport. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that they are fit enough to undertake the training.The instructor of Shikata Shotokan Karate are not qualified medical practitioners and if there are any doubt regarding the students fitness to take part then those concerns must be addressed to a doctor if advised by a doctor not to train then that student should not train. If any approach is made to an instructor regarding an injury or disability that might make training a problem then the instructor will advice the student that until such time as stated that it is safe to train that student should not train. All medical questions should be addressed to qualified medical personnel and NOT to a club instructor. This is a none profit making club
